This outfit will set you up with an FM, cable or satellite data feed that will deliver news, financials, stocks, specific quotes and futures prices—as well as meat options, herbicide information and college football game schedules. DTN is as homey as a party line and some of these offerings cost extra, but you're free to tailor what you receive to your interests and your budget. The great thing about DTN for traders is that they can set up the system cheaply and get delayed quotes constantly for a very low overhead. This is the system to have for any beginner and, frankly, it would save thousands of dollars a month for all those boys in the boxes who have a Telerate sitting behind them being ignored 99% of the time at $800 to $2,000 per month. I actually got into this because I hoped that such a source would also provide me with data that could be down-streamed to my database at the end of the day for use by my other analytical programs. That part of the review isn't ready.
