When I first started trading in 1981 or 1982, I shopped real-time systems and settled on Bonneville Telecommunications. They were quite professional: a Bonneville rep had my den wired for pricing in less than a week. It was an FM feed and because I live on top of one of Seattle's higher hills, the reliability was perfect. It was only several years later, when I started reviewing things for STOCKS & COMMODITIES, that I discovered that all the world doesn't run that well. Bonneville still does, though. The old reliables from Utah are still sending out the prices and news in a datafeed that has seen the emergence of major rivals but is still chugging along reliably. My general impression? Old interface but vast capability and good pricing. |
